    Book Order And Contents

Are you tired of looking for recipes all over the place? Do you enjoy Cooking? Do you like Fishing and Fishing Stories? Are you looking for Unique Recipes?

Fishing For A recipe was orginally written just to share some good recipes that I have used, devised,or altered around a bit, while cooking in remote places while on fishing trips far from home.Of course, all those recipes are good to use at home too,but then a very good friend suggested that I compile a whole cookery book, and the project just sort of flowed from there.Friends joined in with their favourite recipes, and so the result is that we now have quite a collection of all sorts of recipes from around the world, for all manner of things.

Below you will find a few recipes from the book. There are many more wonderful and different recipes in the book,a "must have" collection from around the world.Remember to look on the home page for a list of the contents of this exciting book

    Tartare Sauce

One of the sauces used with any fish dish is Tartare Sauce. You can take the easy way out and buy it from the supermarket straight off the shelf. However for those who like to make their own, here is the recipe I use.Once again there are no additives such as those used by manufacturers.

    One cup Mayonnaise

    One hard-boiled egg,finely chopped

2 Tbs.finely chopped sweet pickle,or sweet pickle relish

    1 Tbs.finely chopped parsley

    1 Tbs.finely choppped shallots,or onion

    1 Tbs.chopped capers

    1 Tbs.chopped green olives

    1 Tbs. lemon juice

    1 tsp.Dijon-style mustard

Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl.Makes about 1 1/4 cups.(300 ml) Best to be used when made, because there are no preservatives, but then if you have a few guests this is an adequate amount to use.Once you have tried this,I doubt you will ever buy Tartare Sauce from the supermarket again.

    Fish Casserole

Another sample from the book. This is a really easy recipe to remember. You can use almost any fish you like,my own preference is freshly caught West Australian Dhufish, but you can use Tuna or any other fish as long as it is not out of a can.

4 or 5 decent sized fillets,or one per person, two if they are small of course, place fillets in a casserole dish.

1 Cup of White Wine, and 2 Tbs. of fresh lemon juice, which is poured over the fillets.,

    2 Tomatoes,diced

    1 Onion,diced

    2 Large cloves of Garlic,pressed

    4 Tbs.Olive Oil

    2 Tbs.of wine

    1 Tbs. Ground Cumin

Combine the above ingredients, and spoon over the fillets.

Bake in the oven at 475 degrees for around 10 minutes,or until the fish flakes.Remove from oven and top with grated cheese, then bake again until the cheese begins to brown slightly. You can use any cheese, but my favourite is Mozzarella. This again is a recipe that is fast and tasty, and can be served with your choice of vegetables,or a side dish of Pasta.Goes well with a glass of Chardonnay or other white wine.

Being a fisherman has its moments! Although most of my fishing has been done in the ocean, from time to time I am invited by friends to join them on Freshwater fishing trips, and one day we all went down to the South West of Western Australia to fish in one of the dams there that have been stocked with Trout. Typically, it rained cats and dogs just before dawn, but fortunately the rain passed over and we were able to get some fishing in before it got too warm to fish. By lunchtime we had caught our allowed limit, and before returning to Perth, we had a barbecue lunch. Fresh Trout is wonderful, washed down with the obligatory cold tins of beer. Here is the recipe we used.

Barbecued Rainbow Trout 1 rainbow trout per person 1 onion 2 tomatoes 1 ts lemon juice, or sliced lemons are better salt and pepper; to taste

Fill cavity of fish with chopped onion and tomatoes. Sprinkle lemon juice over fish, or put the slices of lemon over the fish, along with salt and pepper. Wrap fish in foil. A bit off butter smeared on the fish is nice too, and helps keep it moist. Barbecue fish approximately 10 minutes on each side....

Now naturally the time you cook the fish depends on its size, the fish we were using ranged in size from about 1½ lbs to 3 lbs. This was eaten with just a simple side salad of lettuce, tomato, spring onion, and radishes.

So, if you get out and about and catch your fish, what better than to enjoy it immediately?

Here is a list of the contents, just to give you an idea of what to expect.

    What about E – Books?

What is an e-book you may ask? Well, it is a computer file that presents as a book, and you can turn the pages, just like a book too. It is not designed to be printed out, though of course you can print out individual pages if you want to. Fishing for a Recipe only takes up 638 kb of space on your computer, and so is not using valuable space. Electronic Books are a valuable resource, they do not get torn, or stained as Cookbooks sometimes do if left on a workbench, and you can print out whichever recipe you want to have on hand in the kitchen as you need it.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:To download this book you must have Windows 95 or higher installed on your system
